Birth Doula services
The birth doula relationship is designed to be there for you throughout pregnancy. From the time our services are contracted, we will provide educational and emotional resources via text, email or phone. Our schedule of support includes a welcome meeting where we review your personal goals and needs, two group educational classes to augment your birth preparation process, and an individual meeting in your home to finalize your preferences around your birth. All along the way we will be there to answer questions, offer options, and be a listening ear.
We go on call for your labor at 38 weeks (unless a previous plan of early delivery was anticipated) and will be on call for you until your birth has happened. Labor support is continuous- both via phone and in person- providing information, advocacy, positioning suggestions, hands on comfort measures, and other tools available. We will work with your team to stay within your preferences, and provide alternatives if they are needed. We will stay with you after your birth for your immediate aftercare and establishing feeding. During recovery we will do a virtual visit the day after the birth, and an in person visit around a week after to follow up on your physical, emotional, and mental health, offer any needed resources, and process your birth if you would like. We are happy to take photos during your labor and birth if wanted and will share them with you when you are ready to receive them.
Fee: $2000
Discounts available for repeat clients.
Tend Perinatal Collective believes strongly in the impact of doula support for all who would like to receive it. If finances are an obstacle to your ability to receive care, please do not hesitate to contact us to inquire about your options. We have historically provided payment plans, reduced fee support, and accessed mutual aid funds where available in order to make our offerings more accessible.
